Ruin pub athmosphere comes to an end at Karádi&Berger winery

Erdőbénye-based Karádi&Berger winery has put a year's work into transforming the dilapidated rooms of the heritage building that used to operate as a 'ruin pub', fairly popular with festival-goers, during the various wine festivities in the village.

Now neat and tidy, the street front rooms house a stylish wine bar and a tasting room, while the middle part of the building has two tastefully furnished guest rooms. Also, all winemaking equipment is in a refurbished environment in the back of the house.

Founded in 1999, Karádi&Berger makes wines from around 3.6 hectares (9 acres) in two vineyard sites, Narancsi and Palandor, in the Olaszliszka area.
